RESEARCH SUMMARY

The main focus of my role is supporting academic members of the research group. I manage the various databases involved in collecting participant information and administer a range of neuropsychological assessment tools in both clinical and research settings.
Currently I am involved in research focusing on plasma biomarkers and cognition in Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions; comparing self- and caregiver-reported apathy in a range of neurodegenerative conditions (e.g. Parkinson's disease, disease with Lewy bodies, frontotemporal dementia) and trialling the application of our new cognitive platform, OCTAL in conditions such as autoimmune limbic encephalitis and Parkinson's disease.

BIOGRAPHY

I graduated from the Experimental Psychology with Linguistics undergraduate programme at Oxford in 2018, after which I worked in a mental health inpatient setting for a year. Following this I was a Research Assistant at the HOME study in the department of Psychiatry with Professor Michael Sharpe and Dr Jane Walker. Throughout the pandemic, I worked therapeutically supporting NHS staff and I also trained and worked in the Russell Cairns Unit as an assistant neuropsychologist in providing neuropsychological assessments. I have been supporting the Cognitive Neuropsychology Research Group with the supervision of Professor Sarosh Irani and Professor Masud Husain since the beginning of 2022.
